Highlights:

  • Scenic, flat, crushed gravel, rail-trail course
  • Nursing a bad hamstring but managed to take it easy and still run a sub 4:00 (barely)
  • Solid pre-race entertainment options

Low-lights:

  • Injured hamstring 10 days before the race, getting old
  • Rain, I guess, but not really

  • Made a new friend, ran as an unofficial pacer and helped her qualify for Boston
  • Beautiful day, scenic course, stress-free race experience
  • Conveniently located, home and watching golf on my couch by 2pm

Low-lights:

  • Nothing comes to mind

  • To my family for letting me disappear for half a day (unclear if they noticed I was gone)

  • First rental car crapped out an hour north of Anchorage
  • Apparently both Shannon and Marge were operating with torn menisci the whole time
