Highlights:

Scenic, flat, crushed gravel, rail-trail course
Nursing a bad hamstring but managed to take it easy and still run a sub 4:00 (barely)
Solid pre-race entertainment options

Low-lights:

Injured hamstring 10 days before the race, getting old
Rain, I guess, but not really

Beautiful day, scenic course, stress-free race experience
Conveniently located, home and watching golf on my couch by 2pm

So many National Parks (Denali, Wrangell – St. Elias, Kenai Fjords)
So many adventures (dog sledding, birch syrup, Horseshoe Lake, Tundra Tour, Savage River, Mt. Healy, gold panning, Santa Clause, McCarthy Road, white water rafting, Root Glacier, Matanuska Glacier, Sealife Center, Exit Glacier, boat tour, moose meeting, Alaska Native Heritage Center, Eagle River and the Alaska State Fair)
So many breweries (Bear Paw, Denali Brewing Co, 49th State – Denali, Matanuska Brewing Co, Seward Brewing Co, Girdwood Brewing, Glacier Brewhouse, 49th State – Anchorage and Silver Gulch)
Two sets of grandparents (Patons and Morans) along for the ride and a bonus Facchine Family sighting

Low-lights:

Dylan added another plane to his puke list
First rental car crapped out an hour north of Anchorage
Apparently both Shannon and Marge were operating with torn menisci the whole time
